KENJI KOI Bacto-Balls – Live filter bacteria for clear and healthy pond water

A filter is only as good as the bacterial culture living in it. Without sufficient nitrifying bacteria, ammonia and nitrite levels rise – invisible but dangerous for koi. Especially after winter, after filter cleaning, or after medication treatment, this build-up starts anew. KENJI KOI Bacto-Balls significantly shorten this process.

Live starter bacteria for your pond filter with immediate effect

Each ball contains millions of live filter bacteria that are released directly into the filter – exactly where they are needed. The Bacto-Balls dissolve on their own, the bacteria settle and immediately begin breaking down ammonia and nitrite. The filter run-in period is reduced by up to 80%.

Use in spring and all year round

Especially valuable at the start of the season, after medication, or after filter cleaning – but also recommended as a regular dosage every four weeks for consistently stable water values. Ready for use from a water temperature of 10 °C.

Important: Switch off the UVC lamp for 10 days for initial dosing, and for 24 hours for repeated dosing.

Dosage and coverage

Approx. 500 ml per 10,000 liters of pond water. 1 liter is sufficient for 20,000 liters.
