How does the product work and how quickly?
KENJI KOI Green Water Ex quickly and reliably clumps together the free-floating algae in the water. If the clumped algae float to the surface, they can be skimmed off with a fine net. The effect usually starts quickly and is clearly visible after one week.
What you should consider before application
Important: Before treating with KENJI KOI Green Water Ex, the pH value of the pond water must be between 7° and 8°, and the KH and GH values must be at least 8°.
Application: Shake well before use. Pour the appropriate amount of KENJI KOI Green Water Ex into a watering can filled with pond water and then distribute this solution evenly over the pond surface. Ensure sufficient water movement and aeration in the pond!

How quickly does KENJI KOI Green Water Ex work?
In most cases, a significant clarification of the water is visible within 24 to 72 hours. The exact duration of effectiveness depends on the extent of the suspended algae infestation, the pond size, and the prevailing water parameters. In cases of very severe green water, a second treatment may be advisable.
Is GreenWaterEx harmful to my koi?
No. GrünwasserEx is specifically developed for use in koi ponds and is completely harmless to fish and other pond inhabitants when used as directed. The recommended dosage should be observed.
Why does my pond water get cloudy after treatment before it clears up?
This is normal and a sign that the product is working. GreenWaterEx causes the suspended algae to flocculate – they clump together and sink to the bottom before being captured by the filter. This brief period of turbidity precedes the final clarification of the water.
Do I have to turn off the UVC lamp during treatment?
Yes, the UVC lamp should be temporarily deactivated during treatment with Green Water Ex, as UV light can impair the product's effectiveness. After the treatment is complete, the lamp can be reactivated.
